My name is Aaron Kudja, I’m a multidisciplinary visual artist and technician working in motion picture production, photography, film exhibition, and photo chemistry.
In 2014, I moved to Tallahassee, Florida to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Production from Florida State University and explored the world of documentary and non-fiction filmmaking. I liked it so much, I stayed to pursue a Master’s in fine arts from the esteemed Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts with a focus in cinematography and lighting.
On the path to filmmaking, I started working at my local cinema as a projectionist where I learned how to exhibit 16mm and 35mm film. I also picked up photography to strengthen my skills in lighting and composition for my motion picture work. My path in photography and film projection led me to shooting film and studying photo chemistry. I currently operate my own home darkroom for processing and printing my own work whenever I’m not out working on projects.
I’m currently living in Brooklyn, New York.
Hit me up for your next project, or just to hang out and talk.
